- Exercise-

Exhibition design of an assigned space was a real challenge. It was set in historical venue in Florence - Ospedale degli Innocenti, Europe’s oldest orphanage.
The moto of an exercise was “cheap and chic”, considering it was a temporary exhibition for a furniture company, in this case Moooi. Moooi is a very interesting company with lots of drama in its objects, so I wanted to dress the space accordingly. Designer took their Horse lamp and made it a leitmotif of the whole exhibition, hence the name “Wild horses” and the one of the main materials - hay. The idea was to “release” the soul of the horse from the lamp... Main material was black and white felt (each side its colour) that was attached to a string and once turned to create this wonderful pattern. The main room was 55 m long and by covering its walls like this, designer wanted to even enhance this length - make it look endless. Each hay platform has its own family of objects, curated in themes. On the end, there is a horse room with walls covered in hay and one Horse lamp. There is one more room - the Rabbit room that is an interpretation of a light forest and a rabbit hole. On the floor there is shiny linoleum as a contrast to hay and felt.
